Tacoma Art Museum serves the diverse communities of the Northwest through its collection, exhibitions, and learning programs, emphasizing art and artists from the Northwest and broader western region.

Tacoma's Broadway Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and manages the largest complex of theaters between Seattle and Portland: Pantages Theater (seating 1169, built in 1918, and restored in 1983); the Rialto Theater (seating 739, also built in 1918, and restored 1991); and Theatre on the Square (seating 302, built in 1993). Its mission is to "energize community through live performance."
Although it is one of more than 5,000 college stores in the United States, University Book Store can be likened to very few. It is third in total sales volume and leads all college stores in the sale of books and supplies. It is one of only a few that are organized as independent, tax paying corporations with direct student involvement on the board of directors.

The Washington State Historical Society is a non-profit 501(c)3 membership organization, open to any and all individuals, families, or firms. The Society is also recognized in statute (RCW 27.34) as a trustee agency of the state of Washington with enumerated powers.
