Horizon Partners would like to announce that a self-serve taproom will be opening at Brewery Blocks at the end of this summer.

Located at 2101 S C Street, the taproom named The Living Room will have approximately 34 taps featuring a variety of beer, ciders, wine, soda, Kombucha, Nitro coffee, and other non-alcoholic options. Customers will be encouraged to use the digital read-out accompanying each tap, detailing the cost per ounce and what keynotes to pay attention to while you enjoy each beverage.

Owner Andria Wunder describes her drive to create this unique tasting experience, “In the past, I was more likely to order a glass of wine or cider as a safe bet. After visiting a self-serve taproom in the Midwest, I was able to try small samplings based on what I was in the mood for. Being able to pour myself small amounts and try different beers, while educating myself on the essence of each, allowed me to learn what I liked to drink.” She continues, “We want to create a positive guest experience for each customer to enjoy whatever beverage they are in the mood for while sampling at their own pace.”

As customers arrive at The Living Room, they will check in with the host and receive an RFID card that controls and monitors how much you pour. Utilizing iPourIt technology, each beverage is billed per ounce, so customers can try small amounts before selecting. Upon leaving, customers will check out similar to closing a tab at the end of the night.

Wanting to maintain a Pacific-Northwest vibe, the space incorporates different design features to bring the outdoors in with wood tones, a moss wall, indoor swings, and greenery. There will be a year-round outdoor balcony and firepit.

The Living Room will be pet-friendly and open six days a week to customers 21 and over. Tasters will be encouraged to bring in their own food or order from nearby establishments. The space will host a robust events calendar along with the opportunity to rent the space for private parties.
